Support Senator Bernie Sanders's resolution to end weapons sales to Israel!
Petition to Congress:
We urge you to support Senator Sanders’s resolution to stop the $20 billion weapons sale to Israel. It’s a crucial and necessary step to end the war on Gaza.
Senator Bernie Sanders just announced that he will introduce a congressional resolution to stop $20 billion in weapons sales to Israel.1
“Much of this carnage in Gaza has been carried out with U.S.-provided military equipment,” Sen. Sanders said. He added, ““Providing more offensive weapons to continue this disastrous war would violate U.S. and international law.”2
As long as the United States is supplying bombs and other weapons to Israel, our government is supporting the violence in Gaza and the killing of over 41,000 Palestinian civilians. Our members of Congress must join with Senator Sanders and call for the end of weapons sales.

The measure led by Sen. Sanders would halt sales of missile systems, tank rounds, and other weapons, including munitions that have caused some of the most severe destruction in Gaza. It would also stop the sale of fighter jets to Netanyahu’s regime.3
In fact, the Inspectors General at the Pentagon and State Department have prepared reports that say that the U.S. government’s export of billions of dollars in weapons to Israel violated laws prohibiting the transfer of American military assistance to governments that have committed gross human rights violations or blocked the movement of humanitarian assistance.4
Hamas's attacks beginning on October 7 must be condemned but Israel's response has been disproportionate and taken an extraordinary civilian toll — all while America has supplied the bombs and funding Israel has used to kill tens of thousands of Palestinians.
If enough of Congress gets behind this resolution, it could lead to a major shift in U.S. policy on Gaza and send a strong signal to Netanyahu.
