    Block Trump from running for an unconstitutional third term and reject the SAVE Act!

    Petition to Congress:
    We urge you to block any attempt President Trump makes to run for an unconstitutional third term. We urge you to reject all versions of the SAVE America Act, the SAVE Act, and other voter suppression measures. These policies are a threat to our voting rights and our democracy.

    Trump glibly mentioned running for an unconstitutional third term at the White House Correspondents' Dinner — but there's nothing funny about it. "I won three times, now I'm going to do it again," Trump said, referencing his Big Lie that he won the 2020 election and his desire to run for a third term.1

    MAGA boosters like Steve Bannon are fully behind Trump, even saying there's a "plan" for Trump to run again. "I'm a huge advocate of President Trump's third term," Bannon said.2,3

    Trump is deadset on passing his extreme voter ID bill, the SAVE Act, and rigging the midterm elections. If he succeeds, it would pave the way for Trump to pursue an illegal 2028 run. Congress must stop his dangerous voter suppression measures and protect democracy from his authoritarian aspirations.

    The SAVE Act is one of the most extreme voter suppression bills in modern history. It would disenfranchise millions of people just ahead of the midterms.4

    The SAVE Act and Trump's other oppressive election orders threaten the freedom to vote and the fundamental rule of law in America. Trump and Bannon are even considering sending ICE and military troops to polling places in November.5,6

    If the GOP's dangerous anti-voting policies prevail in 2026, it would set the stage for Trump to illegally run again in 2028. "Trump 2028" hats are listed on his merchandise site.7

    Trump has made it clear that he’s not afraid to break the law to stay in power. Congress must protect our democratic elections and voting rights NOW and ensure that Trump can't trample on the U.S. Constitution and seek a third term.
