Block Trump's scheme to destroy Social Security
Petition to Congress:
We urge you to reject any proposal to cut or cap Social Security benefits, privatize Social Security, or raise the retirement age. We urge you to support legislation that expands Social Security by lifting the cap on taxable income and requiring the wealthy to pay their fair share into Social Security.
Trump plans to auto-enroll every kid in "Trump Accounts," an investment program for kids. The Trump administration called the accounts a "backdoor way for privatizing Social Security."1,2
House Republicans also just briefed GOP billionaire mega-donor Harlan Crow on their plans to privatize, undermine, and GUT Social Security. Crow is best known for funding Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas's luxury vacations in a sprawling corruption saga.3
Trump's current policies and disastrous big ugly budget law are major attacks on Social Security that will lead to a cut in benefits as early as 2032.4 Congress must fight back, tax the rich, and preserve the program that keeps millions of seniors out of poverty.

Trump's scheme to gut Social Security began with Elon Musk's disastrous DOGE. Musk and the White House closed Social Security Administration field offices, fired thousands of workers, and made getting assistance nearly impossible for seniors.5
Then, Trump's big budget law cut taxes for the ultra-rich and corporations.6 It drained funding for Social Security AND helped Musk increase his fortune.
The current Social Security tax limits allow millionaires and billionaires to only pay Social Security taxes on the first $184,500 of annual income.7 Musk, Peter Thiel, and Jeff Bezos clear the income limit in the first minutes of any given year and then stop paying Social Security taxes.8
Congress must end any discussion of cuts and privatization. Instead, our lawmakers must PROTECT and FUND Social Security by taxing millionaires and billionaires.
Sign the petition: Tax the rich, expand Social Security, and REJECT all efforts to cut benefits.
