Ban Congressional Stock Trading — Don't let Trump insiders and Marjorie Taylor Greene profit off of economic chaos!

    Petition to Congress:
We urge you to pass legislation banning members of Congress from buying and trading individual stocks.

Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez slammed Marjorie Taylor Greene for buying over $20,000 in stocks in the 48 hours prior to Trump’s tariff pause, right before the market saw a massive rebound. AOC said, “Members of Congress holding and trading individual stock is wrong. It is corrosive. It is destructive. And it needs to be banned.”1

A Congressional stock ban would ensure that lawmakers can’t abuse their power and use access to non-public information to profit off of stock trades. Such a ban has bipartisan support and it’s time for our lawmakers to block this “corrosive” practice.

Senator Elizabeth Warren is calling for an investigation into whether or not Trump admin insiders used advance knowledge of the tariff pause to gain huge personal profits.2 The corruption and profit-making within our government is reaching dangerous new heights.

Some members of Congress are making a lot of money using their positions of power to trade stocks in the industries they’re supposed to regulate. Others may be using information they get directly from this corrupt administration to increase their fortunes.

Members of Congress will continue taking advantage of their offices and non-public information — a clear ethical violation — unless we stop this practice now.

Add your name: Tell Congress to ban Senators and Representatives from owning and trading stocks.
