Don't let the GOP hand Trump more power. Oppose the No Rogue Rulings Act!

    Petition to the U.S. House:
We urge you to OPPOSE the No Rogue Rulings Act, H.R. 1526. Our democracy depends on checks and balances and the independence of the courts. Please oppose all efforts to undermine judicial oversight.

Stephen Miller and the GOP are trying to crush the judiciary so the Trump admin can act with totally unchecked power. The No Rogue Rulings Act would strip legal authority from federal judges — and it’s getting a vote in the House THIS WEEK.

Trump and Elon Musk have already called for impeaching judges just for doing their job: protecting the constitutional rights of Americans and the rule of law. Trump’s latest rebuke of the judiciary is his claim that judges can’t order the return a man mistakenly sent to a brutal prison in El Salvador.1

The No Rogue Rulings Act would make it easier for Trump to execute his illegal, right-wing, anti-democracy agenda. Our lawmakers must stand against this extreme power grab.

Top Trump adviser Stephen Miller is leading the spread of propaganda about so-called “activist judges” — labeling any judge to rule against Trump, “communist” and “extreme.”2 This is a clear, dangerous attempt at consolidating power and we must stop it.

Federal judges have been one of the strongest checks on Trump, even as the right-wing media machine attacks any ruling that goes against the administration.

Trump’s illegal funding freeze, illegal mass deportations, and other destructive policies have already been halted by judges. We can’t let Congress take judicial powers from district judges. We need our lawmakers to hear our voices before a vote happening THIS WEEK.
