End Israel's violent West Bank occupation NOW. Pass the Stop the Settlements Act.
Petition to Congress:
We urge you to support the Stop the Settlements Act. This bill would impose targeted sanctions against individuals and entities complicit in any aspect of Israel's illegal theft of Palestinian land in the illegally-occupied West Bank through asset freezes and visa denials. The bill would also ban the importation of settlement goods to the U.S.
Breaking news: the Israeli Defense Forces just ARRESTED and detained U.S. congressional candidate Brad Lander in the West Bank. "We were simply harvesting olives in a grove" before the IDF arrest, Lander said.1
Masked Israeli settlers recently brutalized a Washington Post journalist, leaving her with lacerations, a broken rib, and four broken vertebrae. They set olive trees ablaze. They attacked Palestinian villagers. This is a normal day in the occupied West Bank. During the attack, Israeli soldiers did "absolutely nothing about the settlers" while firing tear gas at Palestinians.2
New legislation in Congress challenges the status quo American support of Israel's genocidal violence. The Stop the Settlements Act is the first-ever bill to sanction the entire system of Israel's illegal occupation.3 Our lawmakers must hold Israel accountable and pass this legislation.

Our tax dollars allow Israel to sponsor these horrific attacks in the West Bank, which have reached an all-time high.4 "The United States cannot keep bankrolling the violence in Gaza and the West Bank," said Senator Bernie Sanders.5
The U.S. government has refused at every stage to stop Israel's genocide of the Palestinian people. State-led daily violent settler attacks with the backing of Israeli security forces have killed 96 Palestinians this year and 9 Americans in the last four years.6,7 Palestinians live under constant siege and threat of violence.
The Stop the Settlements Act would impose wide-ranging sanctions and import bans targeting illegal Israeli settlements. It would hold Israel accountable for its occupation of the West Bank and continued expansion into Palestinian land.8 It's a critical policy change in order to impose real costs on Israel for defying international law to displace Palestinians and steal their homes.
