Save public radio and TV before Friday's deadline!
Petition to the U.S. Senate:
We urge you to reject proposals to cut funding for public media.
The deadline for the Senate to vote on whether or not to clawback $1.1 billion in funding from public broadcasting is this Friday.
It’s an extremely close vote, which is why Trump threatened any GOP Senators who defy him. “DEFUND THE CORPORATION FOR PUBLIC BROADCASTING,” he wrote on Truth Social. “Any Republican that votes to allow this monstrosity to continue broadcasting will not have my support or Endorsement.”1
Drastic cuts to public media are a top priority for the White House. A wave of pressure right now could push swing Republicans to defend highly popular, reliable local media outlets.

With the deadline for the vote this week, this may be our last chance to save the cherished educational programming and journalism on local media outlets.
Trump and his allies in Congress have targeted public radio and TV since his first administration, but Trump’s attacks in his second term have left public media on the edge of losing nearly all of its funding.
It’s all part of Trump’s war on the media and his promotion of right-wing disinformation. We must send in as many messages as possible to every single Senator before Friday’s deadline.
Sign the petition: Don’t let Trump defund public broadcasting!
