    Congress must block funding for Trump’s deportation machine!

    Petition to Congress:
    We urge you to oppose funding for cruel, inhumane mass deportations.

    Trump is sending ICE through cities to arrest and jail large groups of people — even issuing quotas to ramp up arrests.1 And now he has a plan to imprison 30,000 migrants at a detention center in Guantanamo Bay.2

    Trump is pulling out all the stops, and requesting billions of dollars, for his inhumane deportation dragnet.

    When Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez warned that so-called ICE detention centers would turn into prison camps, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene said she hoped “we do open as many prisons as possible to round up” migrants.3 Trump, Greene, and this administration will continue aggressively imprisoning and deporting people to devastating effects. Congress must refuse to fund the mass deportation machine.

    Trump’s ICE sweeps followed his shutdown of access to asylum and his threats to federal prosecutors and state and local officials who refuse to help him carry out his mass deportation plans.4

    Donald Trump has pledged to deport 15 to 20 million people.5

    If he even partially succeeds, it will tear apart countless families and disrupt communities across the country. Deporting millions of our family, friends, and neighbors will not make our communities safe or help people thrive.

    Our lawmakers need to stand firm to protect immigrant communities from arbitrary detention and deportation.
