Trump and his allies in Congress, like Marjorie Taylor Greene, are continuing their mass deportation plans no matter how cruel, costly, and impractical they are. Tearing communities apart and hateful persecution is the very goal of their policy.

Trump, Greene and the far-right want to build more ICE detention centers and jail 30,000 immigrants in Guantanamo Bay¹ — but it will all cost tens of billions of dollars from Congress. Congress must refuse to fund this mass deportation machine.

Trump is sending ICE through cities to arrest and jail large groups of people — even issuing quotas to ramp up arrests.² Yet, ICE says some of its prisons are already over capacity.³ If Congress refuses to fund the deportation machine, it will be very difficult for Trump to execute his plans.

When Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez warned that ICE detention centers would turn into prison camps, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene said she hoped “we do open as many prisons as possible to round up” migrants.⁴ Trump, Greene, and this administration will continue aggressively imprisoning and deporting people to devastating effects.

Our lawmakers need to stand firm to protect immigrant communities from arbitrary detention and deportation.
