Stop Trump's authoritarian mass deportation regime!
Petition to the Senate:
We urge you to reject funding for Trump’s authoritarian mass deportations regime.
ICE is currently ramping up its cruelty to carry out Trump’s horrific mass deportations policy.
Agents are raiding schools, Home Depots, churches, farms, retail centers, and other locations, tearing apart families and decimating communities. According to the White House itself, two thirds of the people detained have no criminal record.1
And the White House is violently suppressing any opposition to these mass detentions. Trump called in the National Guard and the Marines to attack protestors in Los Angeles. Then officers assaulted and handcuffed Democratic California Sen. Alex Padilla after he questioned the White House at a news conference held by Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.
Trump and ICE are horrifically out of control. Congress must stop funding this brutality.

In response to being tackled and handcuffed, Senator Padilla said, "If this is how this administration responds to a senator with a question…you can only imagine what they're doing to farm workers, to cooks, to day laborers out in the Los Angeles community and throughout California and throughout the country."2
"This is insane. A United States Senator was just violently thrown to the ground and handcuffed while trying to question the administration. We need a countrywide response to this all out authoritarianism. This cannot stand," said Sen. Edward Markey.
Right now, the Senate is considering Trump’s budget bill that would dramatically increase funding for ICE, while slashing funding for Medicaid, SNAP, and much more. Congress must take a stand and refuse to provide further funds for Trump’s authoritarian takeover.
