We urge you to support peace and justice for Palestinians and an end to the war on Gaza. Please oppose funding for Israel’s military in the NDAA. Please stop sending weapons to Israel.
The current version of this year’s Defense budget includes AIPAC’s wishlist for Israeli military funding.1
While Israel carries out atrocities in Gaza that Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch have called a genocide, it’s inexcusable that our lawmakers continue to fund Netanyahu’s regime and supply weapons to the IDF.
Israel is killing Palestinians waiting in line for food, blocking aid trucks that Gazans need to stave off starvation, and bombing civilian areas — there’s no moral rationale to continue sending money and bombs to Israel. The U.S. government’s failure to change its policies towards Israel shows the strength of the pro-Israel lobby and the fear within Congress of siding with justice for Palestinians.
The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) spent more than $100 million on 2024 elections (a campaign spending record) and nearly $1 million on lobbying for the Defense budget in just the first few months of this year.2 Congress must make a moral choice to save Palestinians, not give in to pro-Israel lobbying.

The National Defense Authorization Act is the giant defense bill Congress passes every year to fund the American military. Because of entrenched pro-Israel positions in Congress and the power of the pro-Israel lobby, lawmakers also included millions for the Israeli military, for projects such as the development of artificial intelligence weapons technologies.3
These millions to support Israel’s assault on Palestinians are in addition to tens of billions in weapons shipments and funding the U.S. has sent to Israel since its attacks on Gaza began in October 2023.
Last week, 27 Senators voted to stop weapons sales to Israel — the most ever to support halting arms to Netanyahu. We must build on the growing momentum to stop Congress from sending more weapons and funding to Israel.
