    Subpoena Elon Musk and hold him accountable for DOGE!

    Petition to Congress:
    We urge you to subpoena and investigate Elon Musk for his reckless, unlawful acts at DOGE.

    Elon Musk, the richest person in the world and the largest donor in any election cycle ever,1 spent the beginning of Trump's 2nd term destroying the federal government.

    After flipping the House and Senate last night, Democrats will soon have the power to subpoena Musk and force him to testify in front of Congress for DOGE's illegal activities. Rep. Robert Garcia, the top Democrat on the House Oversight Committee, has said he'd lead investigations into Musk. And he just told Trump and Republicans to "lawyer up."2

    Trump is promising Musk a preemptive pardon to try to protect his mega-MAGA donor.3 But Democrats can fight back and end impunity for Trump's allies. It's time to force Musk to answer for his reckless, illegal acts in front of the American people.

    House Oversight Democrats have detailed DOGE's illegal mass firings across the government, bald-faced corruption, severe mishandling of personal data, unlawful budget cuts to essential government programs, and the dismantling of the Social Security Administration. They said Musk used DOGE to "infiltrate government agencies."4

    Musk led his cadre of unqualified loyalists to trample over the rule of law, our federal bureaucracy, and Congress' own powers. He had massive conflicts of interest across his DOGE work. His companies, including SpaceX and Tesla, competed for and won government contracts.5

    "The Trump Administration and Republicans have tried to shield DOGE from transparency and accountability as it carries out President Trump and Musk's bidding from the shadows," Oversight Democrats continued.6

    Our lawmakers must now show Musk and the Trump administration that there are consequences for breaking the law.
