Pass a billionaire's tax!
Petition to Congress:
We urge you to pass new taxes on billionaires!
Elon Musk has made a $44 billion mess.
Musk has made a slew of highly questionable decisions since purchasing Twitter for all those billions,1 leaving many users uncertain if they want to continue on the platform. Yes, it’s a mess — a mess a billionaire was able to make on a whim. If they have the power to make these reckless decisions, the least we should do is tax them and ensure they’re contributing their fair share. It’s clear, we need to tax billionaires and check the power of the ultra-rich.
Sign the petition: We need to tax the rich! Congress must pass a significant tax hike on millionaires and billionaires.
From banning critical journalists2 and blocking links to rival social media companies3 to firing thousands of tech workers (potentially in violation of the law)4 and allowing dangerous figures back onto his platform, Musk has Twitter in a precarious place.
Giving dangerous figures their platforms back is just one example of the misguided content moderation direction of Musk’s Twitter. His potentially unlawful mass firing shows his careless approach to workers.
It’s time to tax the rich to take power away from egomaniacal ultra-rich CEOs. That means taxing the wealth and businesses of the mega-rich, not just their income — all the money billionaires hold in stocks only face taxes once they start to pull their money out of the market.
Call on Congress now to tax the rich. We must rein in the runaway wealth of Musk and the 1%.
