Investigate Trump ballroom donations for corruption!

    Petition to Congress:
We urge you to investigate funding for the White House ballroom for any corruption between corporate donors and the government.

Trump is making demands for taxpayer funding to pay for his self-indulgent White House ballroom. If he can't get the money from Congress, he already has hundreds of millions of dollars from private donors for the project.1

Why are giant corporations like Google, Amazon, Palantir, Microsoft and Lockheed Martin2 (who all have business with the government) handing Trump ballroom money? The public deserves a full investigation into who is giving Trump so much money for this obscene vanity project of an authoritarian, and WHY.

Senator Elizabeth Warren is calling out the danger of these donations. "Americans shouldn’t have to wonder whether President Trump is building a ballroom to facilitate a pay-to-play scheme for political favors," she said.3 We need a full investigation NOW.

The president of the United States should not be able to receive private donations to fund his destruction of the White House and construction of a grotesque symbol of a strongman's agenda.

Trump and his MAGA lackeys want to remake America to reflect their far-right views. The giant corporations and billionaires funding the ballroom are supporting that mission, and could be hoping for political favors in return — like massive tax breaks or bigger government contracts.

The public deserves full transparency at the center of these shady ballroom donations.
