    Block Trump's extreme mail voting restrictions!

    Petition to Congress:
    We urge you to protect mail voting and state voter data, with measures including the Absentee and Mail Voter Protection Act. You must reject all versions of the SAVE America Act, the SAVE Act, and other voter suppression measures. These policies are a threat to our voting rights and our democracy.

    Trump is threatening to withhold federal funding from states that don't implement his authoritarian election policies.1

    The White House is again illegally weaponizing the federal government against states that don't give in to Trump's extreme policies. Trump is pressuring states to hand over voter data to a federal database — an unprecedented danger to our elections. A federal judge just ruled that the federal database Trump is using is unlawful, but that's not stopping the White House yet.2

    A key pillar of Trump's attempt to rig the midterms is to heavily restrict mail voting. And the Postmaster General said that the USPS won't mail ballots to states that refuse to follow Trump's illegal executive order to hand over state election data.3,4 Congress must take urgent steps to protect our voting rights and democratic elections.

    The judge who rejected Trump's illegal federal voting database said that the scheme could wrongly purge voters from the rolls. She added, "the federal government has knowingly trampled on the privacy rights of American citizens in a manner that threatens the sacred right to vote. This Court cannot stand idly by while that happens."5

    Trump's mail voting restrictions are tied directly to this federal voter database — all based on far-right, racist conspiracy theories about non-citizen voting and Trump's lie that the 2020 election was stolen from him. He is now even refusing to sign a bipartisan housing bill until Congress also passes his extreme voter ID bill — calling elections a "National Emergency."6

    The USPS is planning to reject ballots from any state that refuses to hand over state election data to Trump's Department of Homeland Security.7 Congress must ensure that the postal service does not go along with this illegal policy.
