We urge you to stop any plan to privatize the Postal Service.
Trump wants to privatize the Post Office, something he tried and failed to do in his first term.1
While Trump’s plan to destroy the USPS would be massively profitable for corporations, it would threaten rural communities, Indigenous communities, seniors, veterans, small businesses, and many millions of Americans who rely on affordable, reliable mail service.
Trump, Musk, and the “Department of Government Efficiency” (DOGE) have clear goals to destroy public goods for the benefit of billionaires and corporate CEOs. But with bipartisan congressional support for the USPS to improve service and prices for the people, we can save the Post Office from Trump’s disastrous plan.

So-called “efficiency” and privatization are taking center stage again in the Trump-Musk transition. A top Trump official said private companies are much better than the USPS. He added that the first Trump administration “didn’t finish the job” on privatization, “but we should finish it now.”2
The USPS is America’s lifeline, delivering to every corner of the nation. We cannot let it be picked apart, sold for its parts, and placed into the hands of Wall Street billionaires.
