    Reject Trump's USPS nominees now! Protect mail voting and stop post office privatization.

    Petition to the U.S. Senate:
    We urge you to oppose Jeffrey Brodsky and William Gallo as nominees for the U.S. Postal Service Board of Governors. The very integrity of the post office and bipartisan nature of the board, as mandated by federal law, is at risk.

    Trump is deploying the U.S. Postal Service as a weapon for enacting his authoritarian agenda — including his attacks on mail voting.

    Trump's recent nominations for the USPS board of governors would make it the most partisan board in history.1 This would pave the way for Trump and his billionaire Commerce Secretary, Howard Lutnick, to take over and privatize the Post Office.2 It would also put MAGA in full control of mail voting, endangering the ballots of tens of millions of Americans just before the midterms.

    Two of Trump's nominees are rich businessmen and MAGA cronies who put the integrity of the postal service at grave risk.3 Our Senators must take a bipartisan stand to save USPS and our elections.

    "This imbalance in representation would be unprecedented and would undermine public confidence in the Board’s ability to serve the public interest above any partisan political aims," Senator Gary Peters wrote to Republicans as part of his request to put Trump's nominees on hold until the White House also put forth two Democratic nominees for the board.4

    If Trump gets his way, he will hand the Post Office over to corporate executives who will profit while USPS is destroyed. Postal workers will lose their jobs, mail voting will be jeopardized, consumers will pay higher prices, and small businesses will struggle. Congress must protect the Post Office now.
