Stop Wall Street from exploiting the housing crisis!

    Petition to Congress:
America has a housing crisis, and Wall Street shouldn’t be making it even worse. We urge you to pass the End Hedge Fund Control of American Homes Act of 2023.

Housing is now unaffordable for more than half of American renters according to a new Harvard study. "We simply don't have enough homes that people can afford," said the executive director of the U.S. Interagency Council on Homelessness.1

Why is this happening? Wall Street and big corporate landlords are buying up giant chunks of American homes and jacking up the costs of rent and mortgages.

It’s time for Congress to stand up for the people and keep Wall Street OUT of American housing.

Sign the petition: The housing in our neighborhoods should be homes for people, not profit centers for Wall Street. Congress must pass the End Hedge Fund Control of American Homes Act!

When giant corporations and Wall Street hedge funds buy up a block of homes or a whole neighborhood of housing, they are saying one thing clearly: We are here to make as much profit off of the people as possible.

An important step towards addressing the housing crisis is passing the “End Hedge Fund Control of American Homes Act,” which would ban Wall Street from buying up single family houses and allow more everyday people to rent and buy homes at more affordable rates.2

Renters and home buyers can’t compete with the billions and billions of dollars on Wall Street. We need our elected officials to do as much as they can to stop Wall Street from taking over the housing market.

Add your name: Congress must stop Wall Street from profiting off of what we need to live! Pass the End Hedge Fund Control of American Homes Act.
